Felipe Fernandez-Armesto: Denies Claims Made by Cop Who Arrested Him for Jaywalking

In this interview Tufts professor Felipe Fernandez-Armesto denies that he offered physical resistance to the Atlanta police officer who arrested him for jaywalking, as the officer claimed in an interview with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Fernandez-Armesto, an erstwhile Oxford don who now teaches at Tufts, indicated he may have to take further action to clear his good name. The implication was that he might sue.

He was interviewed by phone by HNN's Rick Shenkman on January 22, 2007.
